Madelyn has been in the daily care of Maggie at the Roots and Wings Early Learning Centre since it's opening in September of 2006. The atmosphere at the centre is delightful, the colour and happiness greets you at the door upon entering and carries throughout each room. I find that the play area is stimulating to various age groups and the toys, etc. are of a wide variety and in large they are geared towards the development and education of the children. More important though than the room and the play stuff is the presence of Maggie. Maggie has proven to be an excellent caregiver and teacher. As working parents we sincerely appreciate the devotion that Maggie has to teaching the children. Madelyn learns so much at Roots & Wings Early Learning Centre, over and above what she would learn instinctually on her own or in the care of someone less devoted to teaching ...

My daughter, Isabelle now age 2 yrs 9 mos has been attending Roots & Wings on a part time basis since September 2006. Isabelle enjoys going to the daycare and often speaks about the things she does with Maggie and the other chidlren. Initially, I was concerned with enrolling Isabelle in a daycare as she has previously been taken care of by my mother. Maggie made the process very easy and I was very impressed with the cleanliness and atmosphere of the daycare. I find Maggie to be attentive to the different needs of the children as she has younger toddlers and older children. The communication book she uses each day lets me know how Isabelle's day was and any concerns or comments she or I may have. Isabelle went through the toilet training process while at daycare and Maggie was definitely a help in facilitating this. I have noticed that Maggie makes an effort to change the to change the toys and activities from week to week and encourages the children to get messy with hands on play.

Maggie and her amazing staff have provided a safe place for our kids to grow socially, emotionally and intellectually.
